College students in our leading Diploma in Nursing will acquire the nursing skills and the self-assurance that will qualify for diverse nursing career opportunities in area of clinical nursing, healthcare, management, education and community health, locally and abroad.  

Today’s nurses can now be found in professional venues once thought impossible.  Nurses influence legislation, change healthcare delivery systems, educate about disease prevention and health promotion. No other profession is quite as challenging and rewarding.

Nursing Program

The Nursing Program prepares graduates to seek employment in a wide variety of health service fields. This program facilitates learning through classroom activities, practice in simulation wards and skills lab, clinical experiences in many of the registered hospitals and community healthcare clinics.

The nursing program lays a solid foundation of knowledge that incorporates the development of knowledge, critical thinking, and technical skills, personal and professional values in an increasingly complex health care system. It prepares nurses for registration with the Malaysian Nursing Board.  Upon registration, our graduates can be employed in Malaysia or overseas.

Professional nurses make a difference in the lives of patients and their families every day.  You can work almost anywhere in the country, or around the world. 

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
 
The Nursing Program is designed for 3 years, which is equivalent to 6 semesters with 2 semesters for each year.

Examinations

Students must complete both the theoretical and practical parts of the studies and pass all the modules. On successful completion of the program, the award of Diploma in Nursing will be conferred by the College and upon successful completion of the Malaysian Nursing Board Qualifying examination, the student will be awarded a practicing certificate. 

Clinical Practice

Students will be provided with clinical experience in the various hospitals, health centres and related disciplines that are identified by the Ministry of Health. Students will be supervised and guided by the Nursing Tutors/Lecturers and Clinical Instructors when they are in the clinical areas.
